Tune-up Terms

Last updated October 2026

These terms apply when you mail us your own PC for a tune-up, in addition to our Terms of Service.

Back up your data

Tuning changes BIOS and system settings and can, rarely, cause data loss. Back up everything you cannot replace before you ship. We are not responsible for lost data.

Shipping your PC

  • You pay to ship the PC to us. Use a sturdy box, plenty of padding and a tracked, insured service.
  • Put your order number inside the box.
  • We are not responsible for damage or loss in transit to us. Report damage you notice on arrival and we will tell you right away.

What we do

We work toward the goals you choose, such as better performance, lower temperatures or quieter operation, and test for stability. We do not promise a specific result because every PC is different.

Existing problems and warranties

  • We will tell you if we find a hardware fault. Repairs or replacement parts are quoted and need your approval first.
  • Opening a PC or changing settings could affect an existing manufacturer or retailer warranty. By booking you accept that risk.
  • We will not install pirated software or bypass any security you ask us not to touch. Do not send passwords.

Return shipping and refunds

We ship the PC back to the address on your order after tuning. If we cannot work on your PC (for example, it arrives unsafe or unopenable), we will contact you and refund the tune-up fee less any return shipping.

Unclaimed PCs

If we cannot reach you or deliver the PC back after reasonable attempts over 60 days, we may charge storage costs.
